As part of her New Year’s Resolution to make healthier food choices, our Savvy Organic Shopper has decided to trade soda in for organic juice. On her shopping trip to Publix in Naples, FL, this week, she found prices that enabled her to do just that. She found a 59-ounce container of Uncle Matt’s organic orange juice priced at $5.49. The same size container of conventional orange juice was $3.99. So, for $1.50 more – that’s just 20 cents more per 8-ounce serving – she was able to buy orange juice that was not only rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, but also reduced her risk of exposure to harmful pesticides and fertilizers. No wonder she felt good about making the switch!
