Although this week marked the official start of summer, our Savvy Organic Shopper was feeling a little blue. Her yearly visit to see her old college roommate in St. Paul, Minnesota was rainy and gray. So, she went out to a local co-op, Mississippi Market, in hopes of finding something to lift her spirits. While there, she was pleasantly surprised to find that Santa Cruz organic applesauce, originally priced at $3.99, was on sale for $2.49! Not only was she happy to find this sweet treat at such a great price; she was satisfied knowing that it was made without the toxic and persistent pesticides or artificial ingredients. It was just the little boost she needed to brighten up her day!
