Moms love this flavor because it is vegetarian & provides tons of protein & fiber from the lentils!
5 lbs of water
1.25 lbs organic green lentils
65g organic carrots
1/4 cup of organic Italian parsley (chopped fine)
pinch of cumin (to taste)
1 organic bay leaf
Lentil purée recipe:
Peel and dice the carrots.
Rinse the lentils in cold water
Put the lentils, carrots & bay leaf in cold water (enough to cover the carrots and lentils). Bring to the boil and simmer for 40 minutes.
Remove the bay leaf. Blend in a food processor on a high setting until smooth (may need to adjust water depending on thickness the baby likes!). Season with cumin and serve warm or at room temperature.
To freeze: Reuse Tastybaby containers by filling clean & sanitized cups with Bollywood Baby. Place lid on top and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
