The plastic pesticide application warning signs will soon be gone for
good from elementary and middle school fields in Connecticut. In 2007,
Governor M. Jodi Rell signed a ban on the general use of pesticides at
those schools, and environmental groups are hoping to expand that ban
and increase the use of organic alternatives to chemicals with harmful
or unknown effects on people.
