On a recent trip to Publix in Naples, FL, our Savvy Organic Shopper found competitive prices on organic milk. A half-gallon of Organic Valley 1% milk was on sale for $3.50; the same quantity of conventionally produced milk was priced at $2.45. That means for $1.05 more – that’s a difference of just 13 cents per 8-ounce serving - she was able to go organic and enjoy all the health benefits of low-fat milk made without the use of synthetic hormones, antibiotics, or artificial preservatives. No wonder she was eager to go back to the store later in the week and buy more!
