Summertime is officially a few weeks away, but in the Washington, D.C. metro area, warm weather has definitely arrived. Not surprisingly, so has our Savvy Organic Shopper’s craving for her favorite summertime treat: organic ice cream. As luck would have it, pints of Stonyfield organic ice cream and frozen yogurt are on sale for $3.39 at MOM’s Organic Market this month. (Normally, they sell for $3.79 each). Given the price reduction, and the fact that the ice cream and frozen yogurt were made without the use of synthetic growth hormones, antibiotics, or artificial ingredients, our Savvy Organic Shopper couldn’t resist: she filled up her shopping card with as many flavors as she could find!
